Suntrust's Off to College Scholarship Sweepstakes begins September 14, 2012. Eligibility is not based on GPA or financial need. One $1,000 winner will be chosen every two weeks from October 25, 2013 through May 9, 2014. You may enter once per drawing; however, students can register after each drawing for the next scheduled drawing.
This scholarship was established to honor Amy Hull, a 1981 graduate of Greeneville High School. After graduating from GHS, UT, and the University of Memphis School of Law, she worked as an attorney for the Tennessee Municipal League in Nashville. Amy and her unborn child werer killed by a drunk driver in 1994. Amy was a vibrant personality who believed in giving back to others in her school and community. Her family seeks to perpetuate her generous spirit by awarding a one-time $1000 scholarship to graduating high school seniors who shae her commitment to continuing their education and community service.

Apply between Nov. 15 and Jan. 9,2014 Have It Your Way
Write an original and creative essay of 1,000 words or less that demonstrates an understanding of political courage as described by John F. Kennedy in Profiles in Courage. Describe and analyze an act of political courage by a U.S. elected official who served during or after 1956. The essay may focus on an issue at the local, state, or international level.
All students must register online. Essays can be submitted online (preferred) or via regular mail by the postmark date of January 6, 2014.
Profile in Courage Essay Contest
This is an annual scholarship awarded each year, by the Tennessee Manufactured Housing Association, as an honor to the late Stan Plumlee.
DEADLINE: March 7, 2014
- Students may be associated with the manufactured housing industry in some way; either by living in a manufactured home (mobile home), working in the industry, or by having a relative who works in the manufactured housing industry.
